Mary Ann was born 13 January 1871 in Ballydavis. She was the second daughter and second child of Patrick DOOLEY and Rosanna STAPLETON.
Mary Ann married an R.I.C. man, Patrick GONLEY, on 30 April 1891 in Stradbally.
Patrick Gonley was posted to Co. Kerry. He and Mary Ann Dooley had eight children, seven of whom survived childhood:
It would seem the only descendants in this line are the daughters of Elizabeth (Gonley) GLYNN. I have had conntact with one of these daughters.
Josephine was in the census of 1940 lodging with her sister Sadie at West Baltimore St. with Margaret McCafferty, who was a witness for Josephine’s citizenship application.
